FAQs

How Long is This Process?

While I can not provide a concrete answer to this question, and no one-size-fits-all answers this question, let's explore a few factors that might determine the length of time you spend in therapy. One of the crucial factors is our relationship, built on trust and open communication.

The first factors are engagement, participation, effort, and commitment. The second is the complexity and severity of symptoms. Thirdly, your support system, which plays a crucial role in your journey, and your old habits and patterns. Lastly, we consider your willingness to actively participate, be open, honest, transparent with me in session.

Do You Accept Insurance?

While I am diligently adding several more insurance payees, I currently accept BCBS, Cigna Behavioral Health, Optum, United Behavioral Health,  Aetna Behavioral Health, Molina Healthcare, Oxford, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Texas, and Oscar Health. I also accept self-pay clients. For up-to-date information, periodically use the check your insurance link on the About page of this website.

How Often do I Need to See You?

Your commitment to the therapy process is crucial. Initially, we meet weekly for the first four weeks, and then we re-evaluate to determine your needs together. Therapy requires honest and consistent work from both of us to produce positive results. If weekly sessions are not feasible, I recommend twice monthly sessions to maintain therapeutic progress.

What Role do I Play?

My role as your therapist is to support, challenge, and encourage. I recognize your strengths and potential during this process while providing empathy, authenticity, and the unconditional positive regard necessary to facilitate lasting change. In the session, I follow your lead when possible and offer guidance and structure. This structure is designed to help you explore your thoughts and feelings, leading to the discovery of personalized solutions within yourself. Finally, I will help you discover your meaning and purpose in life as you take ownership and responsibility for your decisions and the course of your life.
